History of Old Iron Beer Works
OK, so there's not much history...yet. The first exposure to brewing began back in 1994. With the collaboration of a friend, "Mike & Mike's Beer" was established and produced a few un-memorable batches of beer. However, we did concentrate on the important things, like making a label for a beer that no one really wanted. Even the label left a lot to be desired.
Flash forward 12 years and a new brewery was born, Old Iron Beerworks. The name for the brewery was born of an appreciation for art of the brewing beer and the restoration of antique tractors. Plus, I could combine both hobbies into one website...I'm kinda lazy like that.
With availbility of help through internet and great local resources, a lot of the former mistakes and problems were identified and resolved. Not only did the beer start tasting like beer, but it also tasted pretty darn good!
